KUIMS Visits Moscow
During our first trip to Russian capital we visited “Korean Products Show Moscow 2010”, which was held in the central exhibition hall “Manezh” in the heart of Moscow near the Red Square and Kremlin in honor of 20th Anniversary of Russian-Korean diplomatic relations. A big part of it was devoted to the healthcare industry, where hospitals, healthcare administration and medical equipment producers were displaying the achievements of Korean medicine. We also met our partner and friend Vladimir Budiansky, medical director of “Moscow Doctors” and discussed our future plans for cooperation and entering the Moscow market. We agreed that our views match well and that we can complement each other in this business. According to our plan this year we’ll enhance the web-site development and make it our strong marketing instrument. We hope that in addition to our Vladivostok office it can allow us to become a strong structure in the whole of Russia. Visiting Moscow makes us the first Korean hospital with such a strong network in Russia: Vladivostok, Khabarovsk and now Moscow.

RAPIDARC Coming to KUIMS
We are very happy to announce that KUIMS will open a RapidArc Radiotherapy Center in the summer of 2010. RapidArc radiotherapy technology by Varian Medical Systems offers all the benefits of IMRT in dramatically shorter treatment times.
RapidArc uses a dynamic multileaf collimator (MLC), variable dose rate, and variable gantry speed to generate IMRT-quality dose distributions in a single optimized arc around the patient. Clinicians can now deliver continuously modulated dose to the entire tumor volume while sparing normal, healthy tissue.
RapidArc represents a major advance in radiation therapy.
The introduction of this medical technology will help push KUIMS to the forefront of cancer treatment in Korea and the world.
